The energy poverty gap in sub-Saharan Africa affects approximately 597 million people, mainly rural households that are too remote from the main grid and are too costly to electrify by extending the main grid, thus posing a major challenge to the socio-economic development of these communities.

Template Two-Pager Project Idea 

ICLEI WS aims to develop ten (10) project concept notes on sustainable energy, and further support four (4) projects’ access to finance through the development of pre-feasibility studies.

The concepts for ten (10) projects will consider the six business models and plans developed, demonstration activities, recommendations
